Record lows are causing concerns since this progressive loss of ice will ultimately lead to higher sea levels. Higher sea levels could turn my mid-state Florida property into ocean side real estate.

OK, perhaps that is an exageration but 2030 could see some dramatic changes in seaside resorts. OK, maybe that too is a stretch yet the loss of ice is making major news. The ice didn’t just melt on its own guys so, quit denying global warming, it IS a reality and WE caused it. Like the old saying about closing the barn door after the horse is gone, we have already caused the damage and anything we do now will be too little, too late. Gee, imagine that, humanity has screwed up again! Our little patch of space in the cosmos is not only becoming smaller but we have screwed it up well enough that looking for another home among the stars is a good idea. We need to get out there in space and screw up another planet! Humanity continues to demonstrate that where ever we go we manage to leave behind a wake of destruction, and outright waste whatever resources we have on hand. While we are willy-nilly sending creatures into extinction, I believe we are doing the same things to ourselves. If all we manage to do is destroy what nature provides, how long CAN it be before nature destroys us?
