The downside of being bald

Permalink 02:53:54 pm, Categories: News and Opinions

Yes, a bald head is a solar panel to a sex machine, and perfect heads are bald, the others are covered with hair, and all the other cute, and sometimes true sayings you hear about being bald, have their merit. I can attest with a scarred certainty, baldness is NOT a panacea of happiness.

[More:]

Those of us blessed with less than a full head of hair, or no hair, experience difficulties unknown to those with a covered head. Sunburned heads are no fun, and give new meaning to mange when they begin to peel. Somebody is always wanting to polish the bare spot, accompanied with snickers. None of this is really a problem for me, I just miss the cushion I used to have. Hair between hat and baldness saves the top of your head more than you realize until you do without. It is no rare thing for me to come in from some chores outside to find blood inside my hat, or in severe cases, running down the side of my head. Having no cushion means whatever object you happen to drag your hat across whilst it is perched atop your head, leaves its mark on skin, not hair. Close inspection to my bald head reveals scars akin to having been scalped with a variety of dull knives, lots of torn areas, no clean cuts. At my current rate of progress I will not only have wrinkles on my face but on top of my head as well. Consider this the next time you are admiring that gleaming bald head you have spotted while you were out, being bald has some downsides. Of course, baldness has some upsides as well, never need a comb when a washrag will do, the comforting splat of large raindrops (unless a bird has gone by), and always having a weapon at the ready when you need to blind an opponent while fishing...There ya go, something to consider when you have nothing better to do!
