11 year old kid takes a loaded gun to school, makes the news, and goes to jail. OK, pop quiz Bozo, WHERE did he get the gun? FORGET gun control, we need PEOPLE control. Guns don't kill people, PEOPLE kill people. Guns are simply tools, it is the operators at fault.

Gun owners have the responsibility to teach, and practice, gun safety. This includes keeping guns SECURE. An 11 year old kid should not have access to a gun unsupervised and if this kid HAD been supervised, the gun would NOT have gone to school. This whole gun control scenario is comparable to a the bad mechanic blaming his work on bad tools. PEOPLE need to accept their responsibility, acknowledge their mistakes and shortcomings and remedy the situation instead of finding something to blame. A gun just sits there. It does not load itself, it doesn't fire itself, it doesn't jump into anybodies pocket. ANYTHING a gun does, has a person involved. Blaming guns for all of this is no different than blaming cars for car wrecks. It ALWAYS boils down to the operator. It is too bad so many folks have their heads so far up their backsides that they can't see or understand simple logic. Guns are simply tools that do what PEOPLE direct them to do.
