The US is already supporting illegal aliens as well as legal immigrants. The future projections are dire, the Hispanic population alone will triple, reaching some 30% of the total population. That suggest dire circumstances for those of us who speak English as our mother tongue. The US will no longer be an English speaking country, it will be speaking Spanish.

The tax burden on the American population is already strained with all the FREE programs, a lot of them geared for immigrants, legal and otherwise. If we cannot gain control of this population crisis now, we will never be able to control it. CLOSE our borders. Get a handle on the influx now or kiss the country goodbye. Yes, we ARE the greatest nation. No, we cannot continue to open our doors to folks who bring nothing with them but their hands out. The country itself cannot support the masses, even if our taxes feel otherwise. We, as AMERICANS, are caught in the crossfire between what is right, and what has to be done. I cannot blame folks for wanting to be here, our country is the best their is. That fact, all by itself, will be our downfall. We can't AFFORD open borders. We need SERIOUS border control to stop the flood. The other option is for our country to NOT be the great place it is. If we fail to get a handle on immigration, we are guaranteeing it won't be.
