Featherless chickens for easier processing sounds logical EXCEPT, they aren't made that way. WHAT gives us the right to make them so? Where do we get off changing things that live and breathe? This whole concept of knowing HOW, giving us the right to DO, seems pretty marginal to me.

At some point you would THINK we would leave well enough alone. The more we tinker with life, the faster we are tumbling down a slippery slope. As it is, beef in texture and flavor has changed radically in the last 20 years or so. Chicken too, is not the same, and we don't even NEED to mention eggs. Our veggies are no different, we have fooled around with hybridizing and all but lost the original, GOD made designs. We have technology, we use technology, and eventually, our technology is going to do us in. No, I'm not talking about the bombs and all that, I'm talking about mutations of germs, and anything else we have tinkered with. It is easy to see that the more we tinker, the more likely it is to come up with something that gets away from us. We already have super bugs that run rampant in hospitals and elsewhere that are resistant to our drug cures, a natural process of evolution that WE helped along by over doing our 'pill for every ill' mentality. KNOWING this, we continue fooling around with our food sources and anything else that happens to cross our minds. We are NOT GOD. Some things are better left alone. OK, so you don't believe in God, believe the science, the more we have fooled around with things, the more screwed up they have become.
DO we HAVE to die at our own hands to realize we are doing things that should NOT be done? YES, we gave up flavor for easier picking in the fields, or more weight gain on the pasture, the bottom line is we are changing things so SOMEBODY profits and their mindset is profit at ANY cost. We STILL buy, we ignore the facts of what is happening and what we are doing. We have stuck our heads in the sand and are hoping everything will work out. It's not going to. The slope we are now on runs into our demise. Just a matter of time.
