Religion in all its twists and turns offers up many surprises when you start looking at it. My copy of the Koran makes no mention of Morality Police, at least none that I saw. I failed to see any reference to the Laws of Chastity in there either.

I'm just wondering HOW these folks can determine guilt and then execute for crimes that may, or may not, have been committed. Death by stoning or hanging is SERIOUS. IS the burden of proof followed through or is it simply hearsay? Realistically, "Laws of Chastity" would require proof that I seriously doubt many folks would offer up willingly, and more than likely would lie. HOW can civilized people accept hearsay as pure, unadulterated, PROOF of a crime clearly headed for an executioner? Seems like some bad MOJO to me. Of course, none of this really matters when you consider nations, and religious fanatics who bomb innocent civilians with themselves for the sake of a promised paradise in the after life. That sounds like maybe a few screws loose, clearly not playing with a full deck. Somewhere along the way, the True Believers, and the Fanatical Believers, took separate paths. Unfortunately, Believers are going to be treated the same, regardless of the path. I would think a religion would be capable of policing its own, and would stop the blatant violations of its holy book.

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful Believers, avoid immoderate suspicion, for in some cases suspicion is a crime. Do not spy on one another, nor backbite one another...

OK, so maybe it loses something in the translation but seems pretty obvious to me. As an Unbeliever, looking in, I wonder how many of these folks really believe in Allah, and follow his direction? EVERY religion has its twisted versions, and ALL claim to be the right one. The rewards in the afterlife are worth working for, however, I think the concept should be read, and learned, not dictated and corrupted which is where so many religions go wrong. Yes, just my two cents.
