I pay for my TV shows and I pay a good buck for them, just like everybody else. What I don't understand is why I have to see commercials? I am already PAYING for the show, I shouldn't have to watch the commercials! Some commercials are OK and I can deal with them, other commercials are so stupid they make me crazy. Since I am already paying for the privilege of TV, I shouldn't have to watch the commercials.

The networks are already making money from the subscribers, do they have to make money from advertisers too? Somewhere along the way we lost control of our surroundings and I seriously doubt we will ever get it back. We allow ourselves to be subjected to advertising so the almighty profit can be made. The way this works out we are paying to watch advertisements. That makes me think we aren't too smart. The same is true for the magazines we read, we are paying for the magazine AND the advertisements. OUR time is being fought over by advertisers, WE represent the customer, WE are in demand and yet, WE are paying for it. There is something wrong with this picture. Where's the magic box that strips the commercials from the broadcasts and leaves you with just the show? We are talking mostly digital broadcasts, WHY is this not an option? WHY can commercials be so loud compared to ordinary shows? WHY do we allow ourselves to be exploited in such a fashion? As CUSTOMERS, we should have some say in what we see, hear, and read. The decision should NOT go to whoever will pay the most money. Commercial free TV SHOULD be an option!
