All those billions of dollars being handed out gives me a headache. I invested two bucks in chicken livers and will convert that into 30 or 40 bucks worth of catfish fillets. The added benefit is these are wild grown, I will spend time in the outdoors, get a little exercise, and enjoy myself. Some of the fish will be cooked fresh, the balance will go into the freezer for future meals. THAT is my version of best bang for the buck. Too bad Obama can't wrangle a similar deal to get something besides promises for all the money he is passing out.
I've already bought an assortment of seeds for my garden and have turned my little patch in preparation. I will grow some veggies, supplement with fish when I catch them and I might even get a few chickens or perhaps some more rabbits. I can grow some of my own food which saves me dollars not going to the grocery store. This is not anything new around here and I guess a lot more folks will be doing what they can to grow some of what they need, unless they are all standing around with their hands out waiting on Obama bucks. Seems to be a sad state of affairs.
