World Amateur Radio Day April 18

Newington, CT. March 22, 2007 -- The
International Amateur Radio Union (IARU), and its
member societies representing over 150 countries
around the world, will celebrate World Amateur
Radio Day on April 18, 2007. The theme for this
year's celebration is "Amateur Radio: Allowing youth to connect the world."

New privileges about to start

The no code aspect of amateur radio will REALLY kick in this weekend. All at once folks will have access to bands that had been reserved for higher licenses. The debate still rages over whether this is a good thing or not. I hope it won't be met with snobbish attitudes as the new guys hit the air.
