New privileges about to start
04:05:27 am, Categories: Ham stuff The no code aspect of amateur radio will REALLY kick in this weekend. All at once folks will have access to bands that had been reserved for higher licenses. The debate still rages over whether this is a good thing or not. I hope it won't be met with snobbish attitudes as the new guys hit the air.

HT antenna
08:21:23 am, Categories: Ham stuff My Yaesu FT-470 is built like a brick, was bought on Ebay and so far has only cost me a battery. I wasn't real happy with the reception so, I decided to buy an antenna.
Acer Aspire 3050 review
08:08:15 am, Categories: Ham stuff I finally got my laptop and it is the Acer Aspire 3050. 1.8Ghz Sempron 3400+ processor with 512MB DDR2 memory, 40GB drive, 14.1 WXGA monitor, DVD+RW/CD-RW and Win XP Media Center. SUPPOSEDLY this machine is Vista capable.
