We invested some time and figured out how much of what we needed (we DID allow some extra, just in case) and it has been sitting in our shop for a few weeks before we decide to use it.
Oh, we DID say we would start at the beginning didn’t we? Well, the absolute first beginning after studying up on wood is to build us a few things to make our lives easier as we work our wood. Sometimes, the building is just what we need to do and other times we would be ahead of the game just to buy what we need. In this case, I suggest you buy a pair of the folding, plastic sawhorses. They are economical and extremely handy. Yes, we COULD build sawhorses and they would be great EXCEPT, they would weigh a lot and we wouldn’t want to lug them around, and MOST of us would build them FIXED, NOT FOLDING, so they will take up a lot more space in our shop. It’s your call. I really suggest the plastic ones, at least for now.
