My shop, crammed to the roof as usual, has been calling my name, begging me to clean, arrange, visit, for weeks now. Part of the problem is I did some salvage work and came away with an assortment of lumber. Big pieces, small pieces, lots of screw holes but good stuff. All this STUFF is taking up space and I knew I needed to do something with it. The driveway was free so I took it outside.
As it stands, not much to look at. The base frame is a box. The two ends are boxes. The assembly is bolted together so it can be disassembled and assembled where/when needed. The roof line is being worked on, simple trial and error until I get something I like. The clamps are used until I've got things the way I want them then I drill for bolts. So far, everything is from the salvaged material, including the bolts! At this point, this very basic frame up can become anything, pump house, aviary, chicken coop, garbage can cover, or even a small shed. The deciding factor will be which of those will pay the most! Don't be afraid to experiment, build fullsize mockups, prototype what you intend to build and if you can, use scraps and salvage material. Money you don't spend on material is money that stays in your pocket! Get out there and make some chips!!!
