My hat's off to all the members here, we are glad you joined us! The big question in my mind is what is it YOU want to see here? I can't claim that I will be able to keep everybody happy but, with some input from YOU, we might target things a little better. I don't know if the majority of you are just starting or are way ahead of me. I need some input about what YOU would like to see here. On top of that, I could use some help getting it here. This is a COMMUNITY of woodworkers, woodworkers helping woodworkers. Now, what do these woodworkers want to see? I have no idea unless they TELL me.

Judging from the stats here, a LOT of folks are in Alaska! I assume woodworking is a SERIOUS hobby there. I'd be really interested in knowing what the most used wood is so, if any of you Alaskan folks could drop me a line I'd appreciate it! I'd also be interested in any oddities involved in woodworking in Alaska. I've never had to worry about my lumber freezing, does the cold affect the wood there? Most of my wood runs 12-18% moisture and with our humidity, I don't get it much less. What about in Alaska?

OK, so I am simply running off at the mouth here er, fingers, uh, keyboard, whatever. I am curious to know more about our members. How about it?
