A great productSeptember 25, 2007 Definitely a great product. It eliminates most of the noise outside, including both high and low frequencies. If you have no problem using it for a long time (may be the case for many, as it puts a pressure on your head), it is a great product to use while working in definite need of silence. And, if you are in a very noisy environment, it is much more effective than an earplug.

This is by far the best hearing protector on the market. I use this type of audio frequency sound reduction device to help me concentrate better in the office, and at home, and it works. Before trying this Peltor H10A 30 DB unit, I was using the usual headset hearing protector, but now I have replaced that and upgraded to this model, and it works so much better. Peltor has designed a soft cushion type ear covering unit that has an excellent fit, and does a super job of cutting out all audio sounds, and I can really now super concentrate. Now the clincher, most all my office associates have had me order this unit for them, and with the free currrent shipping from Amazon (promotional only during this time period), you can't beat the price, and I've ordered some 12-15 for my office associates. Great product! Would be excellent for the gun range also. I haven't been to the gun range for awhile; but I am licensed, have a hand-gun, and will take this Peltor H10A with me when I go.

I have to work in a noisy environment for a while and these did the job.
Much easier to thing without all that machinery noise. Very good.

2. Reasonably comfortable for less than 2 hr use
3. If using for sleeping, can only sleep on your back (not side)
4. Good on aircrafts. Cuts out the huge drone of the plane but the background hum remains. - can make out a substantial difference with it
5. Can wear glasses, earphones with it on - so good on aircrafts to watch movies
6. bulky
Overall is a great buy, for cheap and with good comfort levels

I bought this for my yearly home trip cross pacific ocean.
Unlike those pricey noise-cancelling earphone, this just reduce the outside noise by blocking.
It's a much better choice for audiophile on plane since you don't have to suffer from the audio distortion from noise-cancelling.
All you need is a nice in-ear phone and put the muff on.
You can enjoy the music with least distortion and distraction.
Also you don't have to boost the volume up, so you are actually protecting you ear which noise-cancelling cannot do the same.
Most importantly, it cut off those unpleasant noise as well.
In my west-coast to east coast flight, it save me from screaming baby and impatient mother.

It's a little bit hot after wearing them for hours, but it's nothing compare to the tranquil it brings you all the way.
